Girls, Boys and Communities reached

Research

Our girls lead investigations into the challenges they face in their schools and communities, from street hawking (yan talla) and limited access to education, to early marriage and safety concerns. Through workshops, surveys, and friendship circles, they collect real stories and data that guide every action we take.

Once problems are identified, the girls turn insight into impact. They organize sensitization campaigns, host community conversations, speak on media platforms like Radio Jigawa, and engage decision-makers, ensuring girls’ voices shape the solutions.

Who We Are

We are a collective of determined young girls committed to rewriting the story and what it means to be a girl in our communities. Our name Girl Research and Action Group (Yanmata Masu Neman Chanji) reflects both our identity and our mission.

We believe girls understand their struggle better than anyone else. By placing girls at the center of research and action, we uncover realities they live with and work together to create solutin that matter
